In most cases I try to do these things as it yields a couple of benefits. Have Your Characters Try Stuff – Ok so, there’s a lot of times when you are offered the option to allow someone to try to barricade a door, fix a car or some other non-dangerous task. You don’t want their death to be in vain, after all. When he or she does, make sure (if you can/it’s safe enough) to go pick up the stuff they dropped. Loot Your Friends – Throughout the course of a run, you’ll undoubtedly have a group member die. If you keep it held down, it’ll rev and take off on its own. Make a Quick Car Get Away – this is really more of a trick than a tip but if you’re having trouble taking off in your car, just hold down the button instead of pressing it several times. The only time I might skip it is if I’m totally out of food. You’ll find more people means more protection and have a greater chance of making it for more days if you have several people who must die before your mission ends. My logic is that two, three or four skulls are better than one. Pick Up Extra Travelers – At the beginning of the game, players are advised to choose their comrade’s wisely, but to be honest anyone that is willing to come along with me I recruit to join my party. The longer you linger the more the hoard builds until you’re completely outdone. If there’s no way you can get to where you’re going without putting up a fight, then of course, slam those zombie skills into the pavement, but do you best to avoid hanging around in one spot trying to kill all the zombies coming your way. The zombies generally move a lot slower than you do and so in many cases you can avoid an altercation by simply circle around furniture or dodging them. While in some games it’s a good idea to fight with all your might, in Death Road to Canada, it pays to be a wimp. As a general rule, get in, get out, and then hit the road. The longer you stay in a building, the more zombies start headed there and they can form a mob behind you pretty quick. For example, if you take a quick scan of a bathroom and there are no sparkling cabinets or toilets with closed lids, there is nothing of value there so just skip it. However, take one step in, quickly survey the space and if you don’t see any supplies, don’t waste time fighting zombies in there. Try Every Room But Don’t Go In All Of Them – Ok so this may sound contradictory, but what I mean is, you should definitely open every door in a house. If you are in a house and there is a door that sparkles, that too indicates its somewhere you haven’t been yet. You’ll miss a lot of good stuff if you don’t. Tap On Anything That Glimmers – Whether you’re in a junkyard or the Ya’ll Mart if a cabinet, car or other object sparkles, make sure to go tap it and grab whatever loot is inside. It usually manages to put a zombie entirely out and saves your weapon if it has a short life. As a general rule, if there is something I can throw like a chair or box, I pick it up and chuck it. Throw Anything You Can – You can’t choose which weapons (if any) you’ll be equipped with when you first start the game, and some of them don’t yield great results. Find out the best ways to do just that, here. Staying alive is the name of the game in Death Road To Canada.
